thanksgiving challenge dino

The Friends of the Port Chester – Rye Brook Public Library asked library staff what they most would like us to offer you, their amazing patrons. The answer? Museum passes and more and better technology!

Without passes, a trip to the American Museum of Natural History for a couple and two children under the age of twelve, for example, costs a whopping $72.00. If our library had museum passes to loan, residents of Rye Brook and Port Chester could check out the dinosaurs for free! Love the Guggenheim or the Frick?

It would be great to have passes for these and any number of area museums.

These days, libraries also like to have lots of Chromebooks on hand to lend to patrons working on site, particularly in communities where items like this are often outside of a family’ s budget.

The Friends are pleased to announce our first annual Thanksgiving Challenge!

As a token of the Friends’ appreciation for your generous support, your name will be entered to win a restaurant gift certificate courtesy of Westchester County Executive George Latimer.

This challenge ends Wednesday, November 27, at 11:59 PM. The winner of the drawing will be notified on Friday, November 29.

Let’s show the library staff how THANKFUL we are for their incredible service to the community!
